Cooking preferences
Cooking preferences let you tailor Qooki to your dietary needs and measurement habits.
Open cooking preferences
- Sign in to Qooki.
- Open Settings.
- Choose Cooking in the settings menu.
Update dietary preferences
Qooki groups dietary preferences into three sections:
- Diet Types
- Health Conditions
- Allergies & Intolerances
Turn on the preferences that should describe your household or your own cooking needs.
Update servings and measurements
In the same section, you can update the defaults Qooki uses for recipe amounts.
- Set Default Servings.
- Choose a Measurement System:
- Metric
- Imperial
- Choose a Measurement Focus:
- Volume
- Weight
Update time zone
- Open the time zone selector.
- Search for your preferred time zone.
- Select the right value for your location.
Save changes
- Click Save.
- Wait for the saved confirmation before leaving the page.
Tips
- Keep your default servings aligned with the way you usually cook so recipe previews feel more accurate.
- Change servings on a recipe page before choosing Start Cooking when you want cooking mode to use that serving count.
- Use cooking mode for step-by-step instructions with highlighted ingredient amounts when they are available for the recipe.
- Keep cooking mode open while you cook so Qooki can keep the screen awake during the recipe.
- Use dietary preferences to make future personalization and filtering more relevant.
